Getting organised: guidance for using reference management tools.

Keeping track of published research, referencing other research outputs in your own writing and identifying new opportunities for collaboration can be time-consuming processes.

In this session we will help you to be well-organised and efficient, showing you how reference management software can help store, organise and annotate references and create accurate citations and bibliographies in thousands of different referencing styles.

Web-based packages also enable you to build academic social networks to share and discuss research publications, identify researchers working in your field and crowd-source the latest publications in your research area.

This workshop will introduce you to using reference management tools and the support provided by The University of Manchester Library.

This session will take place on the online video conferencing app Zoom. Booking onto the session is essential in order to receive the link to join.
