Open research
Open research (also known as Open science) is a movement to make the research process more transparent.
The principles of open research apply to all stages of the research lifecycle and aim to address problems with the accessibility and reproducibility of research findings. The University supports the use of open research practices, as set out in its 'Position Statement on Open Research'.
Led by the Library, in April 2022 the University of Manchester launched the Office for Open Research supporting the creation a more open and responsible research environment.
If you have any questions about Open Research, please visit the Office for Open Research website, and contact openresearch@manchester.ac.uk.
