About My Research Essentials

My Research Essentials (MRE) is our programme of workshops, information sessions, and online resources designed to support development for researchers at all career stages.  Topics covered include resources to use during the research process, dissemination of research and raising your research profile.  To help researchers navigate the programme we have created a pathway for Postgraduate Research students.

We deliver the programme in a number of ways:

  • Workshops and information sessions are open to all researchers and can be booked from these webpages.
  • Online resources can be accessed by all researchers at anytime and anywhere.
  • Additional sessions are delivered on request as part of Faculty researcher development programmes, the New Academics Programme or other School-led training activities.

MRE is delivered by the University of Manchester Library and invited speakers and is part of the University’s researcher development programme.

Booking sessions for School training activities

Ideally please allow six weeks' notice when requesting a session to be delivered as part of a School training activity, but please get in touch to discuss options if you have a shorter timeframe.
