Show up and search (on campus)

Tue 11 Feb 2025, 14:00 - 16:00 GMT

This event brings researchers together for a fixed amount of time to practice systematically searching the Library's subject databases. It is a dedicated space to develop skills demonstrated in our Searching Systematically workshop (which introduces the four core Medical and Human Sciences database platforms; Ovid, EBSCO, Proquest and Clarivate). There is no formal teaching; use this as an opportunity to reduce distractions and focus on honing your search strategies.

Two members of library staff will be present to welcome you and lend guidance throughout the session. They will also ensure you are aware of the time at key points, to help keep you motivated and on-task. You may ask questions, leave the session, or take a break at any time. There is no expectation to work in silence, though you may do so. We encourage you to connect with the other researchers in the room.
