Microform Services at the Main Library
The Library holds a substantial amount of primary source archival material in various formats, including microform, particularly in the humanities.
To facilitate access to both the library’s own microfilm resources and material that may be receipted by researchers through Inter-Library loans, equipment to view, print and scan from microfilm is housed on the Green Ground floor in the Main Library.
SL1000 Microform Scanner
The SL1000 microform scanner allows the viewing, printing and scanning of microfilms, microfiche, microcards and slides.
A USB portable drive is needed if you wish to save scanned copies. Printing is sent to the networked printers and costs the same as printing from the Library PCs.
Short Videoguide to show capabilities.
Please note that this equipment is available on a first come first served basis. Customer Services staff are also available to assist users.
