Lenagan Library has closed

Teaching and learning resources previously housed in the Lenagan Library are now available in Main Library.

Print holdings

All unique material, reading list items, sheet music manuscripts and books borrowed in the last five years from the Lenagan Library are now interfiled with existing stock sequences in the Main Library. These locations are indicated on Library Search:

  • Music, including active journal sequences, is housed on Red 2;
  • Drama material can be found on Blue 3;
  • Film studies texts are on Blue 4.

Use the Main Library interactive map and Locate a Book to help you find your material. Other holdings can be retrieved through our Store Retrievals services.

Viewing DVDs

The DVD collection can be found in the Muriel Stott centre at Main Library.

In addition to making the material available for loan, the Library has also established two dedicated viewing stations close to the collection for viewing DVDs.

Students and staff can book these designated spaces via ResourceBooker, choosing either Study Space 16 - Viewing Booth 1 or Study Space 17 - Viewing Booth 2. 

Multi-region portable DVD drives and headphones are also available for in-person use at the viewing stations in the Muriel Stott on a first come, first served basis.

The Library is currently in the process of developing a small-scale communal space for viewing DVDs which is scheduled to open at the beginning of Semester 2.

Audio facilities

The Library offers ready access to an extensive online library of music through its streaming audio portfolio.

The CD collection is available for loan and PCs with disc drives to enable listening can be found in the Muriel Stott centre. Headphones for in-person use are available on a first-come, first served basis.

The Library is currently investigating provision of a dedicated listening space for CDs and LPs close to the music collection in the Red area.
