Biography

Scott leads the University's Open Research Programme which is key activity under the Library's Imagine 2030 strategic vision. This programme will ensure that the University is at the forefront of Open Research activities nationally and internationally.

His main responsibility is the development of a roadmap of activities that will drive the creation of Open Research services and infrastructure across the entire University.

Scott has been involved in the development of scholarly communication services at Manchester since 2008.

Alongside leading the Open Research Programme, he works closely with the Research Services Manager to oversee a range of research support services: these include the Library's Open Access Service, Research Metrics Service, and eTheses service.
