Biography
Peter is the Executive Office Manager in the Directorate of the University Librarian, leading on the administrative support for the Library. He has particular responsibility for recruitment and staffing administration and is also the Information Guardian for the Library. Peter is the Secretary to the Library Executive, providing a link between the Library’s two management teams.
Peter has worked in The University of Manchester Library for over 30 years and has also studied part-time for three separate degrees at the University. The last of these saw him awarded a PhD in 2007 for his study of the history of Stockport’s Strawberry Recording Studios and he has subsequently had a number of articles published on this as well as co-curating an exhibition at Stockport Museum in 2017/18.
