Sarah Rayner

Biography

Sarah has responsibility for leading the Faculty and Student Partnerships’ Teaching Learning and Students (TLS) team.

Her remit includes providing leadership for the management and delivery of a wide range of high quality, innovative and sector leading services, to support the student learning experience at The University of Manchester.  She also oversees the management and development of professional staff within TLS, including Learning Developers and Teaching and Learning Librarians and plays a key role in the Library’s Staff Management Forum.

Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in academic Libraries and a particular interest in strategic management and leadership. Her previous experience includes establishing the Teaching and Learning team following the implementation of the University of Manchester Library’s innovative functional model for research and teaching support. Other roles have included Project Manager for the Library’s Books Right Here strategic core textbook project and Faculty Team Manager for Medical Human and Life Sciences.
