Biography
Michelle is responsible for the Library’s Engagement Team. She works with colleagues across all five Library Directorates to develop and deliver targeted communications strategies to increase engagement with Library services among the University community and external stakeholders.
She leads the Engagement Librarians to ensure positive, proactive and mutual engagement with the University’s academic community and, as a member of Library Leadership Team, Michelle collaborates with leaders across the organisation to steer the operational work of the Library, ensuring effective delivery of its Imagine2030 strategy.
She is a member of the University’s Communications and Marketing Leadership Team and supports the University’s portfolio of strategic change projects via gateway review. Michelle has worked for The University of Manchester since 2001, firstly for the Archives Hub, followed by roles in student recruitment and marketing before joining the Library in 2009. With experience in both librarianship and marketing and communications, Michelle uses her passion for people and project management to deliver audience focused communications to support organisational goals.
