Jane Gallagher

Biography
Jane is a rare books librarian with over 10 years’ experience of curating Special Collections in a Higher Education setting. She curates religious print collections (post 1500) including the national collections of the Methodist Church and The John Rylands Library’s internationally renowned Bible Collection.
Jane leads the Special Collections Imaging team of photographers who undertake collections centred digitisation and investigation using advanced imaging techniques such as multispectral imaging and photogrammetry (3D). As Special Collections lead for Digital Scholarship, she works with colleagues in the Library and beyond to harness the richness of the collections for digital exploration, learning and access for all.
Jane is a committee member of the CILIP Rare Books and Special Collections Group, and a Board member for the Association of Performing Arts Collections (APAC).
