Google Scholar is a search tool that combines the ease of use of Google search while returning only scholarly sources such as academic e-books and e-journal articles.
It is a great tool to use when starting your research or when searching for a specific title, particularly when you link it to your University of Manchester status.
To link to your University of Manchester status and to get full-text access via Google Scholar, you will need to set up ‘Library Links’:
- Go to Google Scholar
- Go to 'Settings' and choose 'Library Links'
- Enter 'University of Manchester' into the search box and click the 'Search' button
- Tick the check box next to 'University of Manchester - Findit@Manchester'
- Click on 'Save'
