Access to our resources
Personalised support is available from our Library staff
We will provide additional support for individual disabled students, where we’ve assessed that this is needed. You can find out more about this offer by speaking to our Library Customer Services team in the Library or via Library Chat.
Personalised support
If you are not able to gather books or journals, our customer service team can help you if you need assistance with moving, collecting, or holding books. The team can also support you with providing access to a book or other resource in an alternative format of your choosing. Staff can photocopy sections of books for you if you are a neurodivergent student or are unable to come onto campus.
Individual library inductions can be provided if you need more time to understand the library’s layout and services.
We can provide extensions to high demand library books if it takes you longer to read.
DASS rep - a useful link between disabled students and the Library, this person is able to highlight our services(?)
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme
The Library supports the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme. Students and staff can pick up a lanyard or pin badge at the Customer Services desk of any of our Library sites to indicate they have a hidden disability that may not be immediately apparent and may need a little more understanding or time.
