Docking stations
How does it work?
By plugging the USB-C cable into your laptop’s USB-C port, you can instantly connect to the
desk monitor, use a full-size keyboard and mouse, and charge your laptop at the same time.
Troubleshooting
Is the screen on?
The light at the bottom of the screen should be yellow/amber for standby and blue for on. If it
is not showing either the power button should be across the bottom or on the back of the
screen on the right-hand side.
Is the dock on?
You should see a blue light on the dock when the USB-C is plugged correctly into your laptop.
Why is my laptop showing the same screen as the monitor?
Your device may be set to mirror/duplicate the display. To use the monitor as a separate
screen, change your display settings to extend your desktop.
- Windows: Press Windows + P and select Extend.
- Mac: Go to System Settings → Displays, select the external monitor, and choose Use
As → Extended Display. - Other devices: Check your device's Display or Screen settings for an Extend, Extended Display or similar option.
Tip: If you only want to use the external monitor, look for the option to use the external display as your main/primary display or to turn off the device's built-in screen.
