Imogen Knox
Masculinity and emotions
Visiting Early Career Research Fellow 2024 / 2025
Imogen completed her PhD at the University of Warwick (2024). Her doctoral work explored the experience of feeling suicidal in early modern Britain. She has published with Cultural and Social History and Gender & History, and has spent time at Technische Universität Dresden as a visiting researcher.
Imogen is now embarking on a new project on masculinity and emotions, and while at the Rylands will focus on the insight offered by early modern English 'gallows speeches'.
