Location and opening hours
The Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE (Race Archives and Community Engagement) Centre is situated within Manchester Central Library and is easily accessible by road, tram, train and foot.
Opening hours
You can visit the library, use our study spaces and borrow books whenever Manchester Central Library is open.
Our staff can be found at our enquiry desk at the following times:
- Tuesday: 9:30am-12:30pm, 1:30-4:30pm.
- Wednesday: 9:30am-12:30pm, 1:30-4:30pm.
- Friday: 9:30am-12:30pm, 1:30-4:30pm.
If you aren't able to visit us during our staffed hours, we can also offer face-to-face, online or telephone appointments for Mondays and Thursdays. Please get in touch to arrange this.

How to get here
The library is located close to St Peter's Square Metrolink tram stop and a short distance from local bus routes. Manchester Oxford Road station is aproximately 0.3 miles away.
