Locita Brandy
Papers, correspondence and photographs relating to the life and work of Locita Brandy. Mrs Brandy was one of the first organisers of the annual Moss Side Carnival back in the 1960s, and later became a Labour politician and an elected political Councillor In Manchester City, Moss Side Ward from 2003 -2007.

Malik Bakht
Material relating to Abdul Malik Choudhury Bakht and Yvonne Bakht (nee Parker). Chiefly relates to their clothing and restaurant businesses in Manchester and Blackpool in the 1950s and 1960s, activities in the South Asian community in Manchester 1950- 1970, and the foundation of the Victoria Park Mosque in the late 1940s.

Anwar Ditta
Material relating to the life of Anwar Ditta (1953-2021), chiefly consisting of papers collected by her during the course of her campaign and the campaigning work of the Anwar Ditta Defence Committee to lobby the Home Office to allow her children entry into the UK, and also to her campaigning work on behalf of others affected by UK immigration laws. The collection also includes an oral history interview in which Anwar talks about her life which was recorded in 2017.
