Dickens classic now an ebook

Exquisite handwritten edition of Dickens' A Christmas Carol now available to iPad users.

The manuscript, by little known Manchester artist Alan L Tabor, was written entirely by hand and decorated with medieval style illustrations.

Digitised using state-of-the-art technology by specialist photographers at the Library it is now available as an eBook Treasure.

We want you to draw, write, scribble or produce something that connects you to the University and will stand out as representative of Manchester students and the Manchester experience.

The winning images will be printed onto the walls, doors and glass panelling of the learning spaces for everyone to see.

Learning Commons preview

The Alan Gilbert Learning Commons opens its doors in Summer 2012.

A collaboration between partners across the University in consultation with representatives from the Students Union, the Learning Commons will offer a flexible, ultra-modern and stimulating learning space.

Managed by the JRUL, it will be open 24/7 and feature cutting edge technology.
