Publishing your research in a journal: Developing your publication skillsets (hosted by SAGE) (Online)

This workshop will equip you with a fundamental understanding of the publishing process, and what journal editors are looking for when reviewing and accepting academic papers. By exploring the key stages step-by-step, this session will help you identify your personal areas of focus as you work towards publishing your original research. By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Recognise the key stages of the publication process
• Apply a number of criteria to identify potential journals for research submission
• Identify 3-5 keywords to optimise the eventual discoverability of your paper
• Locate useful resources in the SAGE Research Methods database to help you further develop your publication skillset
