Mindfulness for concentration
Do you find it difficult to concentrate? Do you struggle with racing thoughts and often feel anxious or overwhelmed? This workshop, run by The University of Manchester Counselling Service, will cover a variety of practical, simple techniques to help still the mind and reduce anxiety. It will introduce you to mindfulness practice; a type of meditation which turns your attention towards what is happening in the present moment and allows you to take a step back from your anxious thoughts. This technique has been proven to be very effective in managing chronic stress and anxiety as well as pain and illness.
