Book an individual space
This service has been developed around Jade Brodie’s winning idea from our Eureka! Library Innovation Competition in 2013.
Individual study spaces can be booked online in the same way as our existing Group Study Room booking system, and can be accessed via the Library tab within My Manchester as well as the booking kiosk on Blue Ground.
Bookings can be made for periods of up to 3 hours.
For online bookings, go to My Manchester > My Learning tab > Library study rooms portlet > click the link to book a room and then choose Main Library Study Desks:
Choose a date:
And then make a booking by selecting a space and Confirm:
When it is time for your allotted slot the unit will say BOOKED
Just turn up to your space on the day, please leave by the end of your booking.
You no longer have to insert your student ID card into the card reader when you arrive for your booking. The card readers next to each space have been switched off.
You can continue to book a study space on My Manchester or at the booking kiosk on Blue Ground.
Students who have made a booking will be given priority. If you are using a study space which has been booked by another student you may be asked to move to another available space.
