My Account

The My Account option in offers a convenient way of managing your library books. Using this option you can:

  • check what you have out on loan and when they are due back
  • check up on your requests and cancel any requests that you no longer need
  • renew your loans
  • change your Library PIN (used for laptop/ipad loans & charging stations)
  • check if there are any outstanding fines on your account

My Manchester also includes a summary of My Account where you can:

What do I need a PIN for?

Your PIN is for use with the laptop and iPad loan service and charging stations. 

You can view your PIN via My Manchester

If you have forgotten your PIN, or you want to change it you can reset your PIN at anytime within the My Account option in .

 

Why is my account blocked?

A block on your Library account for fines or overdue loans (including recalled loans) will prevent you from renewing loans, borrowing further items from any University of Manchester Library, and booking a Group Study Room

You can avoid fines and blocks by renewing/returning your items on time and checking your library account regularly.
