Samuel Ward (b.1776)
Samuel Ward entered the Wesleyan ministry in 1806 on the recommendation of the Retford circuit. Ward was described as a man of small ability but that he was capable of improvement. He exercised an active circuit ministry until 1833 when he was made a supernumary by the Conference because of lack of talent. Ward left the ministry sometime between 1846 and 1853.
