Samuel Robert Gaussen (d.1812)

Samuel Robert Gaussen was the son of Peter and Anna Maria Gaussen.

His parents were both of Huguenot origin and his mother was the sister of the renowned Methodist evangelist Mary Bosanquet-Fletcher, with whom Samuel Robert corresponded.

Gaussen was a wealthy landowner who owned a large estate at Brookmans Park in Hertfordshire.

He was married to his cousin Eliza Bosanquet and had three children, the eldest of whom, also named Samuel Robert, succeeded him in the family estate.
