Andrew Delap (fl.1770)
Andrew Delap was raised by his uncle, the treasurer of the County of Donegal, after his father was killed in a naval engagement. Converted in 1770 by John Smith, he entered the Irish itinerancy in 1774 and despite a severe speech impediment achieved a great deal of success.
