John Worgan (1724-90)

John Worgan was one of the most popular organists of his day and filled a number of prestigious appointments in London's Anglican churches, as well as acting as resident composer at Vauxhall Gardens.

Charles Wesley junior was one of his favourite pupils and played the organ at Worgan's funeral service in 1790.
