William Norman Warren (1893-1963)


William Norman Warren was born in Teian, Hupeh, China, son of the pioneering Wesleyan missionary Gilbert Warren. He received his early education in England but returned to China as a teacher and for further study. He trained for the ministry at Didsbury College and, after service in the armed forces during World War 1, went back to China as a missionary in 1918.

Warren served in overseas work until 1928 when he took up his first English circuit appointment. He superannuated in 1958.
