John Walsh (fl.1760)

John Walsh remains a comparatively obscure figure, despite the personal interest that John Wesley showed in him. He served as an army officer for a while and turned to John Wesley for guidance at a time when he was suffering from a spiritual crisis. In gratitude Walsh gave substantial help to the Methodist cause in Bedford.
