Erris Charles Herbert Trebbick (1904-71)

Erris Charles Herbert Trebbick was born in Salisbury. He trained for the Wesleyan ministry at Richmond and after three years in Home Mission work and one year as a circuit minister in Walsall, was appointed to Hong Kong in 1931 where he was particularly active in improving the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. He returned to England in 1937 and after three years circuit ministry, began nineteen years service as a Royal Air Force Chaplain. Tribbeck was mentioned in despatches in 1941 and served at home and overseas.

After leaving the R.A.F. in 1959, Tribbeck was sent to Paris as minster of a Church in Rue Rocquepine where he remained until superannuation in 1969.
