John Talbot (1809-1877)

John Talbot was born in London and was converted at the age of fifteen by the ministry of John Scott (d.1868). He worked as a local preacher for three years and entered the full-time ministry in 1829. Talbot exercised an active circuit ministry until superannuation in 1875. He retired to St Helens in Lancashire and died at Rainhill.
