Samuel Sugden (1787-1855)

Samuel Sugden was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. He was converted at the age of nineteen and entered the Wesleyan itinerancy as a home missionary in 1809. He exercised an active circuit ministry until ill health led to superannuation in 1845, which he spent first at Bacup in Lancashire and then Stourbridge in Gloucestershire.
