George Smith (1766-1832)

George Smith entered the ministry in 1792 and spent the first two years as assistant to the noted preacher and friend of Wesley, Robert Carr Brackenbury. Smith served as a missionary in Newfoundland from 1794-97. He spent the rest of his active ministry in the Midlands and North of England. His health gave way a few years before he died on January 25 1832.
