Thomas Slugg (1780-1856)

Thomas Slugg was born in the village of Holt near Bradford in Wiltshire. He was converted at the age of nineteen after reading Anthony Horneck's Great Law of Consideration and was received into the Methodist ministry in 1804. He exercised an active circuit ministry until superannuation in 1843. His retirement was spent in Manchester where he acted for eleven years as the chaplain and registrar of Irwell Street Cemetery in Salford.
