Joseph Simpson (1825-95)

Joseph Simpson was born in Newark, Nottinghamshire, son of devout Methodist parents. He was converted at an early age and after working for a time as a tutor in York, was accepted for the Wesleyan ministry in 1847. His active circuit ministry lasted until superannuation in 1889. He spent his remaining years in Boscombe, Wiltshire.
