Mary or Elizabeth Rockall (1747-1828)

Mary or Elizabeth Rockall was the daughter of Mrs Willey who is described in Rockall's obituary of 1828 as a 'very old Methodist who died a few years ago, at the advanced age of ninety years'. Rockall was a member of the Foundery Society from a very young age and is recorded as serving there as a band leader in the 1770s.

Her husband died in 1818 and Rockall spent her remaining years at her daughter's house. Rockall died suddenly on November 26 1828. Her obituary described her as a 'consistent, upright character'.
