Mrs Beatrix Ritchie (1728-1808)

Mrs Beatrix Ritchie of Otley, was a member of a family prominent in early Methodism in West Yorkshire. She was converted in 1754 and from that time until her death was a committed Methodist and a close friend and correspondent of Mary Bosanquet-Fletcher and Sarah Crosby. During his visits to the area, John Wesley often stayed with the Ritchie family.
