John Phillipps (1769-1843)

John Phillipps was formerly of Truro in Cornwall but spent much of his life in Birmingham. Phillipps was a member of the Wesleyan society for fifty years and was a local preacher and class leader for much of that time. He occupied the major lay offices within the society.

Phillipps was struck by paralysis about three years before he died.
