Benjamin Pearce (1789-1859)

Benjamin Pearce was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. While residing in Buxton, he began to attend the Methodist chapel and was converted. He entered the itinerancy in 1814 and exercised an active circuit ministry in the North of England and the Midlands until superannuation in 1855. Pearce retired to Great Horton in Yorkshire and died there a few days after preaching his last sermon.
