James Mortimer (1792-1829)

James Mortimer was born near Birstal in Yorkshire. He was converted in early life and joined the Methodist society in 1808. After working as a local preacher, Mortimer entered the Wesleyan itinerancy in 1812.

His circuit ministry of seventeen years was spent mainly in the Northwest of England.
