James Methley (1790-1861)

James Methley was born at Shafton near Barnsley in Yorkshire. He was converted at the age of sixteen and entered the itinerancy in 1814 on the recommendation of the Huddersfield circuit and exercised an active circuit ministry in England until superannuation in 1859. Methley moved to Sheffield where he died on 31st October 1861.
