William Mason (1790-1873)

William Mason was born in North Devon. A champion wrestler in his youth, he was converted by William O'Bryan in 1816 and joined the Bible Christian ministry. He was responsible for the opening of missions in Kent, Northumberland and West Somerset. Mason was immensely strong, with great physical presence and stamina. His wife Mary Hewitt was also a preacher of note.
