William Maggs (1801-25)

William Maggs of the Bath circuit, was recommended for the itinerancy at the conference of 1822. He volunteered for the overseas missions and was appointed to St Christopher's in the West Indies. He developed consumption after less than two years in the work and returned to England where he died in his native town on November 24 1824.
