Ernest Henry Livesley (1892-1981)

Ernest Henry Livesley was born in Manchester. After leaving school, he worked in a bank and in a Manchester shipping office. He was accepted as a candidate for the Wesleyan ministry in 1914 and trained at Richmond College.

Livesley served as a missionary in China from 1917 to 1931 and again after a spell as a circuit minister in Britain, from 1946 to 1949. After his final return from China, he worked as a circuit minister until superannuation in 1957.
