John Li (d.1951)

John Li was born in Yunnan Province, China and was converted at the time of the Boxer rebellion at the beginning of the twentieth century. A noted Confucian scholar, he entered the United Methodist ministry in 1910 and served as an active minister for nearly thirty years. His appointments included a period on the staff of the Preachers' Training Institute.

After retirement he served as a member of the council of his native city and as Warden of a Leprosy settlement.
