The Leppington family

The Leppington family were prominent in Wesleyan Methodism for well over half a century.

John Crosby Leppington entered the itinerancy in 1795 and eventually settled in Grimsby.

Of his two sons, John Crosby junior (d.1859) followed his father into the ministry in 1832 and the other, H. M. Leppington was an influential lay man in the Grimsby area.
