John Frederick Lampe (1703-51)

John Frederick Lampe was a German-born musician and an accomplished composer. He was particularly noted for his printed collections of songs. In 1746 he set Charles Wesley's poems to music for Hymns on the Great Festivals..., and was the subject of a poem by Wesley following his death.
