Mary Jones (fl.1740)

Mary Jones was the wealthy widow of Robert Jones of Fonmon Castle near Glamorgan.

Her husband was converted by Howell Harris in 1741 and became a great friend of the Wesley brothers.

After Jones's death in June 1742, the Wesleys remained close to his widow and John especially was a frequent guest. Their heir Robert junior was one of the first pupils of Kingswood School
