Robert Humphries (1779-1832)
Robert Humphries was born at Llanelidan in Denbighshire and was among the first Wesleyan converts in that area. He entered the itinerancy in 1805 and exercised an active circuit ministry in Welsh-speaking circuits of Wales until his death on 21 August 1832 while stationed in the Beaumaris circuit. He had preached three days before his death and contracted cholera the following morning.
