Clara Hornby (fl.1908-1933)

Clara Hornby was born at Richmond in Surrey.

She was educated at London University and served as a member of the Wesley Deaconness Order in Ceylon between 1908 and 1928. She was subsequently appointed General Secretary of the Women's Department of the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society and Secretary for Women's work in China, Ceylon and Burma, with additional oversight of Home Organisation and Literature.
