Herbert Hoare (1831-85)

Herbert Hoare was born in Ringwood, Hampshire, and was converted at the age of fifteen at a Methodist class meeting. He entered the Wesleyan ministry in 1858 and served for many years as the Secretary of the Auxiliary Fund. Hoare's last circuit was Seacombe near Birkenhead, Cheshire, where he died after a short illness.
